" Fidel Velázquez "

A charismatic personage.
He was born in San Pedro Atzcapotzaltongo in the municipality of "Nicolas Romero" in the State of Mexico in 1900.

From his youth he shows his skills of being to leader, since in the year of 1923 he organized a union between the milk workers of the property of the Rosary and in 1929 he founds the Union of Workers of the Milk Industry with the Sanchez Madariaga brothers.

He got to unite to several independent organizations in June of 1933 and he joined with Lombardo Toledano to create the Constituent Congress of the CGOCM, which only had three years of existence.

During the period of the president Lázaro Cárdenas del Río and with support of this personage, Fidel Velazquez creates the "Confederación de Trabajadores de México" (Confederation of Workers of Mexico) (CTM).

Fidel Veláquez was elect like Secretary of Organization and Propaganda and in the year of 1940 he was elected as Secretary General of this organization, position that he performed until his death.

Velázquez became Federal Deputy and Senator of the Republic from 1958 to 1964 and the Senate granted the medal to him "Belisario Dominguez".

Fidel Velazquez offered a press conference all Mondays, in where he not only spoke to union questions but also of policy and subjects of national relevance.

A celebrate phrase of this personage was: " That one that moves does not appear in the photo".
