Our
Mexican Navy |
First of June we celebrated in México the day
of Navy. During the government of 1897 during the regime of Porfirio
Diaz, the Military Naval school is created. During this government the navy of
Mexico had foreign oficials, which caused displeasure in people, reason why in
the year of 1917 the navy is nationalized and in article 32 of the Constitution
it is indicated that to belong to this institution it is necessary to be
Mexican of origin.
In 1939 during the government of president
Lázaro Cárdenas the independent department of navy was created
and a year later during the government of president Manuél Ávila
Camacho this department rises to Secretariat of State and in 1942 the day of
navy is instituted.
In this day a celebration in the main ports of the
Mexican Republic is carried out, where it attends the president of the country
and gives a message of gratefulness to the navy by his effort and encourage
them to follow by the same way.
In Mexico city a celebration is carried
out in the Monument to the Mexican Revolution. |
