Vicente Guerrero.

An Hero of our Independence.
This great insurgent hero was born in Tixtla in the state which takes his name the 10 of August of 1783.

Vicente Guerrero had a poor childhood and in which he had to work like muleteer to survive.

During that time he became a connoisseur of the region where he lived, that would serve to him when he began to fight by the South region of Mexico.

When the brought out the revolution in 1810, Vicente Guerrero joined to the forces of Morelos. He emphasized in the fight by his ability arriving to win an important battle in Izúcar and by which he gets to obtain the lieutenant rank.

When Morelos died in 1815, the fight by independence seems to finish, but Vicente Guerrero who stays still on of fight obtaining important victories against the imperial army.

Guerrero became a threat to the imperial power, reason why the virrey Juan Ruiz de Apodaca orders general Agustín de Iturbide to fight against him . Iturbide had been gliding to win to be able, reason why he joined to Guerrero to culminate the fight by independence by means of the "Plan de Iguala".

After the consummation of independence in 1821 Iturbide proclaims himself emperor of Mexico, reason by which Guerrero and his allies Nicholas Bravo and Guadalupe Victory are rebelled to overthrow him.

After the rebellion and the expulsion of Iturbide, a constituent congress is formed whose goal is the one to form one republic. The control of the republic is left into the hands of Guadalupe Victory like president and Guerrero like Vice-president.

At the end of the period of Guadalupe Victoria in 1828 summon elections in which take part Guerrero for the party of the yorkinos and General Gómez Pedraza by the Scotchs. From this fight the winner was Gómez Pedraza.

It is then when riots form that impose to Guerrero like president of Mexico and Anastasio Bustamante like a vicepresident. Bustamante rebelled finally against Guerrero and he betrays him paying to Francisco Picaluga to catch him.

Vicente Guerrero is judged and shot the 14 of February of 1831 in Oaxaca.
